Whew! 38 pages done. Haven't done that since I read that massive TMC thread a few years ago. Anyway;
1. Why were you worried about the June 2-4 roadcheck when you posted about being 40,800 (it was only mid May)?
2. When you were with your trainer, you wrote that WE drivers were expected to do as told and drive over weight and the tickets were just a cost of doing business. Then, when you were 40,800, you said that the company doesn't pay overweight tickets. What gives?
3. Snap binders are company policy because they are cheaper than ratchets (I suspect that's the reason).
4. It only took you 2 months to hate FB work, And you haven't even hit winter yet LOL.
5. There used to be an internet poster that reported all his goings on. The company found out and he was warned. Shorty thereafter he was no longer with the company. Coincidence? Maybe.
6. I suspect there are loads that require driving over the weekend and deliver on Monday. Maybe you're just not getting them because you've only been there 2 months.
7. That thing with the ruptured fuel tank.....you were following too close. Sucks I know, and yes I know it was in the northeast where traffic is designed to eliminate your following distance but still. It's happened to me....try to drive like the vehicle ahead of you at any time will vanish and there is an parked vehicle dead ahead. If it was a broken down truck instead of a chunk of steel you'd be dead now. It's not if it happens but when....and listen to the CB and develop your cranium squelch feature.
P.S. FWIW, I think you made the right decision not to cut your wheel. If you changed lanes and hit a 4 wheeler or lost your load you'd likely be out of a job and out of chances now.
BOL DD.

Since they seem to be a M-F operation if your DM was really doing his job He'd see about getting you set up to pick up on a Fri. for a Mon. delivery. When I was doing flatbeds a popular run for me was picking up pipe in Houston on a Fri. and dropping in San Luis AZ S. of Yuma on Mon. a nice 1300 mile run.
Mtn Gal Thanks this. -
My trainer said something similar, but it hasn't happened to me yet. Perhaps as I climb the seniority ladder...
