Ya but honestly in two to three years you will need it to do tires and brakes... Best not to count that as take home.

I hear Ya... The one thing that gets me, is the fact that you basically will never own the truck... If you do, you basically paid way to much.
I'm making a little more where I'm at and in 42 months I can refinance the truck... Balance is 54k. I got this truck new.
So I can walk away with a good truck in great shape... With eagle not so much.
Maybe the reefer rates will be better... I'm still watching.

A brand new reefer cost 70-80k 150000k plus tax for the truck with no money down the balloon payment sounds about right at about 9% interest

    Roknric Thanks this.

Where are you buying a new reefer for 80k? That thing better be a spread axle chicken hauler special.
6years worth of notes then the huge balloon payments... No thanks.

I understand... But I'm looking at it like this... If I'm going to take the pay cut and have to do everything myself... I want the benefit of owning it afterwards. I get that it makes no sense...
with those payments you pay 162500 in payments and another 70k at the end just for the truck.
The trailer is 65k plus another 40k. You are basically paying for the equipment twice.... Intrest or not that's insane.

    Loke and fr8monkey Thank this.

You can get a new reefer for 40-45k if you shop... That's just calling not haggling.

It's just like a mortgage you pay three times the loan
