    I'm still with ABF Freight.

    Still putting feelers for OTR gigs. Yeah you guys think I'm crazy for that!

    Guess who called me today......... Earl Henderson Trucking. Wanting me to work for $0.30 a mile and averaging only 2,600 miles a week

    Thanks but no thanks, bro! I'm good!

    Not sure what your looking for as far as OTR, but Continental Express recently opened a terminal in Ft Wort. More regional in nature and Midwest Southeast lanes, but home every weekend, or every other weekend and starts at .45 per mile OTR and . $.41 per mile dedicated. 4 weeks paid vacation too.

    ...I think the recruiter was pulling your leg on that one. Could've been a typo though I suppose. :p

    Is it a bad thing that vacation time like that alone makes me want to reconsider who I work for?

    Yeah kind of, but I'm kind of looking for something not so seniority based.

    There's nothing wrong with ABF. I just don't think they are my kind of company.

    I'm single, with no kids. Now is a great time for me to go OTR and pad myself financially as well as see the country without having to consider other factors like a family and a mortgage.

    Awe...I thought it was funny. Imagine the phone call from a prospective driver that didn't know any better and hadn't done their research. :evil4::sign5:

    If Chinatown ever gets his cookies fixed or whatever it was, then I imagine he'd have a good answer.

    Wished I knew of any companies out that way but I've been spending my time trying to move north.
