Yes. And sometimes, very little ambition... I started in the late 80's. I seem to remember getting hired on at the first company I applied to. Not a bad company and home everyday for the most part.
I mentored a neighbor the beginning of this year. He graduated on a Friday, hired on Monday to the first company he applied. 1200 bucks a week so far. He's home every night.

Okay, gentlemen (and ladies, if there are any women reading this). I just got my CDL-A back with all the endorsements (except the Hazmat, which I have to wait on). Took only a day at a refresher school and I was done, so I'm good to go. Somebody mentioned above it'll be tough, and it may be. Whichever route I go, it looks like I'll have to stick it out for a year before getting a great, great job. Crete wants 4 months, but hopefully I'll hook up with a company that's good enough that won't make me wanna quit every day of the world until I get the year in.
