The area you run can also play a part in earnings. Slip seating is the biggest thing that hinder you getting out. As Tom said, talked with some drivers, take with Ops, be patient.
Ol' Roy, showing up early is always good. They will give you a copy of your application to sign. Go over it because its the last time you can make any changes. Some of the drivers will come over and say hi and will wish you luck. Its an overwhelming feeling but a good one! -
got the offer today, the pre trip and road test was very relaxed just do what you know how to do. preciate it guys.here's to a successful background check

Congratulations one question are they expecting during the pti for u to know all of thos major parts cuz a volvo and freightliner is diffrent engines, imma make sure evrythng is mounted secure and no leaks but may not know wat some of thos parts are, thx
-
How does the process work if you need to stop at a DC enroute to your drop just to get fuel? Do I need to give truck gate my seal card? If so how do I get a new one. I was sent on a long trip and I don't even have a fuel card yet :/

You don't need to know the nomenclature of the parts. And you won't be disqualified for not knowing where the dipstick is since they know every truck is different...you're not expected to know a Freightliner if you're used to a Volvo.
I just pointed to something and said 'I don't know what that's called but I know it's not supposed to be loose or cracked' etc. Wires aren't supposed to be cracked, chafed, melted or frayed...
Just make sure you don't miss the inspection on the trailer, the bill box, permit book, DVIR book (yes Walmart still uses paper DVIR's even though my last company started using electronic DVIR's before I started with Walmart almost 2 years ago), fire extinguisher and triangles...commonly missed items.
Just point out every piece of the truck, no certain order (just try to go in one direction), simply show you know how to make sure your truck is safe.
Best of luck.drozzer69 Thanks this. -
You can fuel anytime at any DC! No fuel card necessary. If you need to break or fuel enroute you simply tell the gate and you'll be let right in. They might ask to hold your bills if you have a load but you don't NEED a seal card to fuel, break or just take a shower on the way to your destination. You'll get (if you don't have one already) a corporate MasterCard to use for fuel out of the DC when and if necessary, and for authorized purchases such as cleaning supplies, hotels (if necessary) etc.

Just tell AP you're passing through - they see it all the time.

They will take your seal card at the gate and when you leave they will give it back to you.drozzer69 Thanks this.
