I rarely post on here, however I am going to give my outlook on Paul Transportation Inc. So far day one is a UA and some paperwork.
I chose this outfit because I like flatbed work. I have an abundance of driving experience, but most of it has been local / home daily or oilfield. I have a little time as OTR so this should be interesting compared to the local side.

Typical paperwork so far. Pre enrollment for your twic card.
New drivers are allowed, they just go out with a trainer for four weeks.RedDirtDriver Thanks this. -
Please keep posting mr cribb. I'm from Oklahoma as well and am also interested in Paul, Inc.
mr cribb Thanks this. -
I will keep everyone posted. There's really nothing about the company. I am going to attempt to keep this thread unbiased. I have no personal ties to this place.
I chose this place because it is an hour and a half away from my front door, in addition to my previous post regarding the liking of flatbed work.RedDirtDriver Thanks this. -
I'm with you. Previously drove for Melton. Liked them, but Paul has a better home time stance. Have spoken to two Paul drivers before who liked the company. One had been with them a long time.

Day two was safety guy. Straight up and to the point. We went and did our TWIC fingerprints and background check. Company paid for it. As long as you don't quit in the first six months you're not responsible for the cost.
I have a terrible psp score due to one crappy truck and one roadside inspection from Kansas dot.
Paul is willing to hire me as long as I don't have another terrible inspection. What I'm saying is that they are giving me a chance when others won't.Puppage and RedDirtDriver Thank this. -
Day three is load securement. Good information to be had. This includes tarping and strapping.
We get our trucks tomorrow.
Entire fleet is KW T660's with Paccar motors and straight 10 speed.RedDirtDriver Thanks this. -
Left this company in may. The only thing I can say is keep your logs straight because they are on DOT's radar for hos.

Just to show Im not bashing them I've put their CSA for HOS.Last edited: Jun 3, 2015

Yeah I read your post.
What jacked me was paper logs, so I'm going to use the electronic version.
My one inspection in Kansas just about ruined my driving career. I had missed logs and then it became a full on level 1 inspection. Trailer had issues etc so my PSP looks like hammered xxxx right now.
I have to cross my t's and dot my i's for a while. -
Wow, Kansas and Texas loves this company.
Oh well I will make it work because my only other option is van or reefer, and neither of those interests me.
