    Get an IC-AH4 auto tuner (http://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-003531 ) and use it to feed the longest whip you can setup and it will perform far better than Hamsticks will and you can switch bands without having to do anything but wait a few seconds for it to tune. You can configure the IC-7000 so that it automatically has the AH-4 tune if needed when you key the Mic and it only takes 1-3 seconds for it to be ready to transmit.
