And you paid how much? ... About?? ... Don't you know exactly? ... You make statement that you saved $100 on fuel, how do you know?

For those of you coming to Eagle, I wish you the best, but like Fr8monkey said, there is no system, we are Celadon drivers, that have fast trucks, can pick our own loads, and run under a different name, but it is all still Celadon.

If you use a broker on their list, you will not get prime rate on the lanes you run, because we are with Eagle, who is under Celadon, we are treated different for whatever reason, and the best money will come if you run a reefer, if you use your DM exclusively, and not book your own freight, you will make money. I book my own freight using CH Rob, and others, and then going to truckers Edge to find out the rate for that lane, although I won't get the market rate from the brokers, just nice to know what it is. So because I do book my own freight, my money is not good, but this is something that is new to me so I'm learning, and it is a lot of work for me, but that doesn't mean you will have the same experience.

Now coming to Eagle is risky, no guarantees of success, not much help from the office, but America was built by folks who were willing to take a risk.

The reward has to match the risk ...

I agree to a lot of that but I usually find my loads then ask my dm to book it and tell him the lane rate and mileage per truckers edge, coz I hate calling and he negotiates better and I tell him my minimum and I have been making money but for the risk I really think it should be better as Mac said we aren't getting the lane rates. I'm not sure I will get a reefer yet I'm tired of waiting it...plus added costs to reefer fuel maintenance and payments for the trailer.....sometimes my dm will give me three to five options almost always CHR and if they look ok I take one...but I know I'm pissing him off,lol but I hate it when he loads me! Maybe I'm a control freak,I don't know? So we use a semi quasi collaborative approach...sometimes he gets a load some times I get a load....I been rolling with command tho....not for there rates coz they suck too!but at least those guys act like they care and are helping me when they know I will be empty....and they email me,not call me always.....more my style...
