you will need insurance to drive it off the lot.... as in NOT a test drive
when you are on a test drive the dealers insurance covers the truck BUT when you are driving around (dyno/dot/other truck dealer) that is not a test drive
spend money having the truck checked out...... it will save you money in the long run...
i called the company that had the truck when it was new and got the repair history from 0 miles till they traded it at 450,000 so the only repair history i don't know is from 450k-512k
I had the dyno done passed the day I got it and the dot.... failed the dot.... lone mountain fixed the prob
pulled oil samples from the trans and both diff.... paid fedex overnight to get them to the lab.... all came back good
went to a front end shop and had 3 axle alignment and check the frame
went to the Volvo dealer and paid for 10 hr's and had the truck checked from bumper to bumper
that was 453,000 miles ago...... truck has 965,744 on it now still runs good, uses 1 gl of oil ever 20,000, have i had breakdowns YES (it's a truck) nothing i couldn't cover..... biggest was a turbo, and a clutch
yes i did just pay it off and the title will be home when i get home next week........EggoTrucker Thanks this. -
