Chicago!!! Ugh!! I hope it's another 10 years before I come back..

 

So been a busy few days, made all my Wisconsin drops, then I got a wired load, 4 pick-up for Ft. Worth ( my really good paying load **rolling eyes) lol.

First P/U in Milwaukee, 2nd P/U in Chicago, 3rd in Glendale Hights and last P/U in Russellvile, AR.. Little hick-up with Chicago after driving there, the shipper was not going to have delivery ready until next day ( no problem, I'm a truck driver, I must like driving??) lol. So over to Gleandale and have 3 Ed load put on and back for Chicago load at 6:00 am.. We'll make that 2:30am so I did not have to battle traffic into the city (this made it an easy 45 min run instead of the 3 hours the day before).

So in the future if I am offered loads like this, I don't know if I would take it. Lots of work for the money offered. I could of had 2 cheaper loads picked up and delivered by now and maybe be ahead a little. Important for me to remember in the future, no multi loads like this again, and I pray I never take another load in Chicago again..

On the company side of things, I almost feel out of my truck, a new dispatcher assistant called and asked what I wanted to do out of Ft. Worth on Friday? Her name was Crystal and she seemed very nice, not hurried in the conversation, asked if there was anything she could assist with. Told her about Alcohol Permits expiring and she said she would check into it, I'll be fanged a second time, she called back with an answer to my question!! Welcome Crystal, you are a breath of freash air!! This young lady along with Kenny and Jared are going to rock the south area, all hard workers, so if you live in the south and thinking about this, it's a good time to get her done..

Lastly I have the daughter with me it's nice to have for sets of arms in the truck, she told me she wants to be a truck driver when she growers up.. Lol / she jumped on the C.B. Yesterday and said, "Hey Northbound have a bear at the 18 1/2 shooting your front door".. What have I done??? Well keep her upright and God Bless!!

 

That is some good advice R.Hager!! I will do that next time, appreciate it.. See little simple things can save $100s of dollars!! I'll be dangerous once I figure it out!! Lol

 

Highway, our payday a end on Saturday at 1700, so as long as you have paperwork turned in by this time you will get paid the coming up Friday..

Now Orientation is Monday Tuesday and Wednesday morning. So you would have three days to get a load in to get paid the next week..

 

Nope, not here.. I even know one guy who asked to have the hold back truck payments and insurance for one week because it was only a 1/2 week.. Talk to Aaron and ask if they would let you start payments the second week..

Also you can request up to $200.00 a week pay advance to help you out on the road..

I figure if you p/u a load In the middle of the the week and head for Michigan, you should get a check the next week for $1200 - $1800 if they will wait to take out your first payment..

 

I thought you where getting good miles at A and A express R.Hager? I sure hope you find some better paying loads, if not you know where to come!! Lol
