It sounds like a decent company to start. I'm also getting ready to take the plunge... and I found that they are close to me in AZ.
thx.
My very recent Roehl experience.

I enjoyed roehl's home time fleet for 8 months. Really good pay for only 6mo experience (started me at 36cpm). Dispatch want always as responsive as I would like. Call if you need a quick response. Terminals all seem nice except ellenwood; that place is tiny and only one toilet per gender - bathroom always wreaks.

Captain Dave the problem Kannonball would have with Millis is he's already in CDL school and unless Millis has changed they will not hire any new graduates from outside schools. The newbies for Millis have to go though their training schools like you did. Maybe they've changed that policy?? Kannonball would be farther ahead going elsewhere to start and on to Millis later if he wants to.

I've worked for Roehl now for 6 months following CDL school. I have nothing but good things to say. I have a great FM and all of us drivers pretty much feel the same of him. I work very hard, drive my butt off, make my deliveries early, head on to the next one and arrive early again. This has benefited me because I wasn't happy with my paychecks and my FM set me up on a slightly different dedicated route where I deliver to the box stores and DC's. I am averaging around 2300-2600 miles now being out 5, home for 2. Made more miles that way then 14/3. My wife is happier too. I have had some disagreements with the FM's that fill in when mine is out but it all worked out. My only real gripes is not getting paid hub miles and having to follow their routing plan along with fuel stops. I have a bit of persuasion with the last two and my FM backs me if I have a more fuel efficient, safer or time saving route. My pay was messed up a little twice but they quickly fixed it. Makes me spooked to leave when I move to Wyoming in a few years unless they will allow me to run from out there. I doubt it though.

I had a question about pay...I have payment arrangements on certain bills and wondering when will I get a check..my recruiter talked of receiving $600 during training which is for 8 days and $90 a day with the trainer..and I'm wondering should I wait until after my payment arrangement to consider going to school..Im suppose to start july 6th which I should tell her I'll wait until the 13th to leave then I'll be set until august 15th when next payment is due
