Sweet, I got mine all settled into his new truck today, He managed to get a 2015 Volvo that has just clicked over 60k told him he is lucky as most the new guys don't get the new equipment. He was ecstatic moving in today getting everything set up. Helped him get his CB tuned and some last minute tips and off He went. Told him to text me if he needs any help or has any questions.
He's a smart kid and frankly I think he will be a awesome asset as he moves thur his career.

Had some questions about this so I figured I would post it. The new trucks have went automatic and have a fridge with them. The International I have is a 10 speed auto with 3 set Jake and a decent size fridge. Excuse the dirt on the floor, the lot in Boise is a dirt one.
Edit.
Another note, they changed the stereos in the trucks to add Bluetooth and the USB port works with all media now, Still also has the aux port.
The bluetooth will contect to ur phone and u can make hands free calls with the stereo now. The mic is built into the dash.
(Borrowed ur thread Miesian as we have been on the topics of trainees and thats who im getting the PM questions from.)

Love the radio and Bluetooth. Two things I wish this truck had.

0800 appt. In OKC today and still here. It was a floor load of loose cases from a certain supplements DC. It is hand unload of 32,000 pounds.

Bluetooth radio is awesome its hooked to my Iphone and it reads the name of the person that is calling over the radio, which is nice when I don't have my headset on.
Anyways, I'm home until tomorrow got it loaded today then back home in 2 days. I took out Bambi over the weekend with the new truck. Less then 20k on the truck and I have to replace almost every bracket in the front of it. Waiting to see also if they plan on sticking another trainee on the truck or not, with this new route I'm home every other day so I don't know if they want to get another person in that habit lol.boiseburb Thanks this. -
Those new trucks do look pretty awesome. I had no idea that, they have a fridge in them! Makes me want one even more.
So is that 32,000 lb hand unload, something you have to do, or will the receiver unload it? Sounds like it'd take them awhile to unload. -
It will be no touch, Lumper will have to do it. But regardless that will be a while for sure.jayfish Thanks this. -
1) The customer doesnt specify during the bidding process to save some $---also, handing freight down from the tailgate/not docking is not 'officially' considered a driver unload!
2) Knight aggressively goes after ANY new business and doesnt get the 'details' on the unload, which means the driver ends up with "it is what it is." -
I did not have to unload it. They had a team of four unloading me. The other half of their crew was a no show. Took them 8 hours to unload me.
