Leaves driver stranded penniless and steals a months pay

I've been under a few union contracts over the years. No better, or maybe worse than being on my own. The Teamsters didn't want anyone "rocking the boat", so to speak. Do your job, pay your dues on time, don't complain, or file any grievances, and we'll get along fine.

They ain't got nothn' on Arrow Trucking. Just sounds like another getting ready to go under. Just one missed payday is fair enough warning to cut and get that truck to the house. Good luck driver.

 

See now that driver got 168 points and lost his job, this is exactly why l will call a service truck out to fix a marker light and you will pay him and me for all my time spent waiting for repairs

 

So, you would rather wait hours for a service truck, and cost your boss a few hundred dollars, than get out a screw driver and be on the road with working marker lights in 15 minutes?

 

Sorry bdp but you are wrong on this one, I DO PAY for anynand ALL repairs needed if the driver isnt capable so dont give me that crap ALSO go ahead and look up my stats that drivers points will stick out like a sore thumb worst part is TWO TIMES in TWO days he got ticketed for the same items ONE was NOT wearing ASeatbelt the other was a discharged fire ext.


ISuppose I should have called someone OUT to fill the fireExt. and to HELP HIM Put HIS SEAT belt on!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure but from the sounds of it if the driver would have said something could have picked up a fire ext. but sounds like he was "not the sharpest tool in the shed" I agree seat belt sucks most of the time but always have it on. Just my opinion

 

We have an open accout at all BOSS SHOPS and a STRICT (sign here) seat belt policy.

 

This is a career. If after 27 years in a career field of any type you find yourself still at the bottom and still without being further ahead in life than you were when you started, the problem is staring you in the mirror. I have weathered many storms even within the last 10 years and suffered setbacks as well as made my mistakes. Still when I look at where I started and where I am now, there has been forward movement. Many drivers could say the exact same thing. The point is that while we can and should point out and warn drivers of some really bad companies, we also need to take some responsibility for our own careers. I get new drivers working for bottom feeders and I have lots of sympathy and encouragement for them.

One more question, how do you get 168 points for a single burned out marker light? In Illinois that is considered very minor and you still get your sticker on a level 1. A seat belt, speeding violation is something different. A fire extinguisher is also something that he could have picked up at any truck stop. The same goes for things like triangles.
