I've been looking around and dont see much info on this setup. It is used to offload pallets where there are no docks.
Has anyone seen this?

I can't remember the name of the company right now, but there is a logistics company that advertises in various media around Sioux Falls, SD looking for owner operators to pull their trailers equipped similarly. They just call them a crane-van. Theirs though, has an extendable track so they can swing stuff like 20 ft bundles out the back of the van and set them down. If I see their ad again soon, I'll let you know. Maybe they can help you out with the info you need.
blanco Thanks this. -
Yes, I have seen them. Is there some specific questions you have?

If we can get pallet dropped and truck rolling it would save so much time. The fork drivers are great but they only have one and are running around doing their work, so they get to us when the can. It does not exceed 30-45 min at delivery to get it off, but maybe, maybe it could save some time.
Thanks -

Found more info. They are called trolly crane vans. And here is a fleet that uses them.

pretty cool. -
Why wouldn't a lift gate work? Typically crane vans are used for stuff that won't fit on a liftgate.
