That was precisely my thought, throw in no hassle detention and lay over, not to mention being able run to NV and FL in a regular basis to see friends and family and was perfect for my situation. Like Roadcall said, different strokes for different folks.

Are you guys sure about the 3 years experience thing? I don't actually see it on their site under the driver qualifications. I see they want 3 years of work history, but I don't see it specifically stated that they want you to have 3 years of commercial driving experience....

Yes I'm sure about the 3 years experience, guy I went through orientation with had 11 years experience, but only 1 year in the last 3 and they almost didn't take him.

I agree as well, I generally stay out 6-8 weeks & take a week off & I'm single. I'd go over but I work hard but expect my off time to be worth it, not a measly 4 days

He's right, 4 days max off at a time is the company's official stance. Have I been home and taken off 5 days for 5 weeks out, yes. IMO, that's one of those rules they will enforce if you're being a dick or are abusing the system. I've also been home 2 weekends in a row when the company says 3 weeks minimum. I don't do it often and even then only when absolutely necessary.
