if anyone ever reads the contract that a driver signs to lease a truck from a carrier, it gives the carrier the right to terminate the driver and lease for any reason they want,,Why would anyone want to work for swift as a driver or lease operator?

95% of new drivers don't read contracts, they just sign their life away at the mercy of swift.

What is it with employees not being able to talk to employers themselves? How come they have their significant other do it?

If he cant handle talking himself he's not cut out for this job.

I am glad someone else said it so I don't have to.

I am no friend of Swift and would have to look hard to find a good word about them, but come-on! Your husband has safety violations, your husband voiced your displeasure of Swift, and told them you are going to quit. If you had any clue about business, about trucking lease scams, or read the contract your husband signed you have no leverage whatsoever in a lease! It is not a business in any sense. You are not even an employee. Spout off and you can expect to be terminated.

Have safety issues all the more so. Swift has lots of safety problems now. They are in the DOT's intervention class in safe driving and approaching intervention in other classes. Of course they are going to crack down. How can one blame them from collecting their asset before a displeasured 'contractor' has a chance to ruin it?

    Dinomite Thanks this.

I'm guessing that a little more than his displeasure and future plans was communicated in that phone call.

She said she got another job three hrs later. So good for swift, another $250,000 lost in revenue because of their outstanding egotistical office staff. They could have averted the situation and mitigated the possibility of a lease contractor leaving by being more diplomatic. BUT! Since swift just wants you to sign sign sign chances are o/o do not really read the fine print.

This guy is the definition of a girly man. His wife fights all his battles.

Trucking is weird. Only business that does payroll advances, let's wives call up whoever and say whatever.

Obviously this guy was a lease purchase. Smh.
