Well at an end of line terminal you'll never see new trucks. You get the old retired road units

Is it a given that a new guy at yrc well be working nights? At least until he gains some seniority however long that may take.

In the LTL world any company days or a regular schedule 7am-5pm are gold. City drivers work days but lower seniority guys start late morning 10am-12pm til late evening or night 7pm-12am. Low man dock, linehaul nights. Days are Gold. Can't jump into a kush schedule unless it's a small terminal and you luck out.

    gsmith2332 Thanks this.

When I worked at terminal 123 I was an extra board for like 3 months, then I was able to get a day time bid and held that for a while. Was still on call. Then at the end I had a time start every night. If I was still there I'd still have a real great bid

Hi: USF Holland is hiring like crazy in the Milwaukee Area? (City drivers) What's going on and what can I expect from an interview I have scheduled? I am single Dad, so most likely only able to work days. Is it a good enough job to try to get care for my daughter, so I can work for them whenever they need me? Thanks...

Getting a little ticked off with New Penn. Had an interview at end of June. Interview went great. Told me once background check came back I'd hear from them. Called last week and was told background check didn't come back. I find it hard to believe it takes that long. Nothing in my background should take this long. I have a ccw so i know it's not my background. I think they are just giving me the run around. Time to start looking other places.

Be patient. Other companies I've seen have taking awhile too.

YRC and Regionals combined profit for Q2 57milllion profit. First time in years. New equipment is coming been seeing it at my company last year and couple months. Takes time. If this keeps up in 3.5 yrs when the contract gets re upped YRC network could end up being a gold mine of a job. Big raise! Just FYI.
