I sold my 13 a little over 2 years ago.Not enough work for it and with it seemed like everyone and their cousin having one, it drove the rates way into the toiliet .
Do I miss it, yea some. But I really enjoy the 7 or 8 setup I'm currently pulling. No need for mty. permit. Not having to put up with stupid pilot cars. I did have a good crew towards the end though.
I like the better fuel mileage and less wear and tear on my trk.
Heck, my mty. weight was 92800

That's not terrible when compare to our tare weights on 5 axle (53') aluminum trailers and freightliner day cabs... Depending on the setup (hardtop trailer vs closed top) and FLD120 vs Coronado (with and without emissions) we are anywhere from 50,000 to 55,000lbs... Most of our older trailers that were 4 axle steel (48') most setups were in the 55,000-58,000 range..

Considering the length (more steel) and 5 extra axles your about 40,000lbs more if you take in consideration the extra axles and steel isn't that bad... Since we are not as long, day cabs and 5 less axles our ratio seems higher..

But WOW still 92,000 empty regardless is a bunch of weight to be dragging around..

I'm sitting down here off 95 at the Bronx line. Waiting on my escort who claims he will be here around 11...gonna grab a slice of pie at the end of the block and then take a nap and hope no dingleberries hit me.

Finally loaded and all dressed up. Sorry my sign is dirty compared to @Ruthless but in my signs defense, this is it's 3rd truck.

19' 6" wide by 65' long going to Garden City, GA. Will make it to the Missouri state line in the morning but they won't escort me till Friday which means I'll be stuck at the TN/GA line Sunday then hopefully go on to Garden City on Monday again with police escorts.

Wait I went though 2 signs on the one load. You mean they are supposed to last more than one truck?
