Wanted to post this comment really quickly as IC's complain a lot of detention pay or lack thereof. I just had a good instance of detention pay LOL.

Booked a pallet load out of C&S in Newburgh, NY. Of course, I know better than to book C&S loads, and it was a Sunday pick up which is odd enough in of itself. However, some jerk booked the last Utica to Parlin load in the 2 minutes it took me to book my load to upstate New York, refresh the screen and it's gone. So hell no, wasn't about to get stuck up there so booked the cheap ### load back to Ohio (1.08 loaded, .83 with the 118 mile deadhead).

So show up and of course, load isn't ready. "Schneider keeps sending you guys in on Sundays and we keep telling you guys we don't have access to paperwork on Sundays. Come back tomorrow morning".

So come back in the morning, get my paperwork, get my $300 detention pay, already booked nothing else today anyway because it's a C&S load and I knew it would be screwed up, my .83/mile load turns into about 1.35-1.40/mile and I'm into Ohio. So yeah, you gotta take the good with the bad LOL.

 

Yeah, I ran through that two days ago...

Lol definitely not, but I did watch a lot of those trucking vlogs on youtube. I love me some truckerjosh, ricecakeftw, indianajack... Thelittleguy and trainerjames get on my nerves if i watch too long.

I just couldn't think of a good name, is all.

Heck, now you guys got me worrying about my name...I plan on being around for a long time, maybe I could convince a staff member that it's inappropriate and get a re-do?

1guy1camera would be my preference. I don't know why I didn't just go with that in the first place ...just wanted a cool trucker name, I guess.
