Place called the Cheese Steak Factory. They come in a cup, then they put the cup in a paper bag, then they pour another butt load of them into the bag so you can't even see the original cup, then they put a mess of salt on top of that and they were fried up in peanut oil to begin with and they are so awesome I want more and putting ketchup on those would be the act of a Philistine.
Also fresh squeezed lemonade.
The goat is Phredd.

At home. Dr visit in morning. Truck in shop (a/c). Watching Edge of Tomorrow with my daughter. She used to be The Duck. Now she is Barbarianna.
Life good.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Doctor visit went well. Not quite to my A1C goal but it is way down and I am on my way. Brunch with The Hot Chick then back to doctor to see foot guy.
Dominick253, HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and TB John Thank this. -
I'm glad to see you're taking time to see your MDs. Too many OTR drivers neglect their health until it's too late and something minor becomes a big problem.
Don't forget the eye doc(especially if you're diabetic) and the dentist.
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
No eye doc or dentist for a while I'm afraid, insurance doesn't cover those (yay Obamacare).

Woobie Thanks this.

Due out right now but delayed by a snafu on my prescription and picking up some medical supplies that I couldn't do last night because wife got called into work.
Shop says my a/c was overcharged. I fail to see how that would block the vents, but we'll see soon enough. -
Well, this has been a perfectly horrible day. Eventually got my list done, took all day and a quarter tank of gas (should have taken like 30 seconds with a phone call). After I dropped the Hot Chick off at work I said "Foo!" and went to see Spy. Left in a better frame of mind. Gonna find out if Penske successfully fixed my a/c by spending the night in the truck tonight. Tomorrow I pick up the meds and talk to a man about a replacement car (if the a/c doesn't crap out on me tonight...if it does then it's back to the shop. Or maybe terminate the contract and go back to company driving. Don't know if I mean that right now; I still have a sleep debt from last 1.5 weeks.)
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Put the replacement car on hold for now. Stuck for the weekend but Hot Chick is working so prolly gonna head to Flying J in Whiteland and sit til Mon morning (can't pick up early).
Risinger has been so very patient with me through all the snafus; no complaints or whining from dispatch just asked me when I need to roll and got me preplanned.
Wife has been understanding also, no kvetching about the lost miles, just support. I've been the worst of the bunch, I'm afraid. I've been stressing pretty hard.
Good news is the a/c ran all night last night. Other news is it wasn't that hot out so that doesn't mean much. We'll see in a couple days when I get to GA. I really hope it's working properly. I'm just now catching up on my sleep debt.
Time for the morning ablutions. Then I get to wait around for my hooptie-mobile. Sigh. Really wanted to buy that car but timing was wrong. (It was a Saturn Aura XR, pearl white with 3.6litre V6 and 6-speed automatic. Terra cotta leather interior with heated seats and premium audio. Drives like a BMW sports sedan. Sob.)Dominick253 Thanks this.
