Celadon in Indianapolis

I just got to range one this morning. I didn't ace it, but I didn't expect to. I knew "just backing up," couldn't be that simple. *Laugh*
Especially not on that range! It's nowhere near flat or even.
There are a lot of things I don't particularly like about the school or the way things are run. It's obvious they are about making a profit while doing the minimal for students' comfort; still, I made this choice. I'm realizing this is one more place where I underestimated myself. I -probably- could have gotten my permit on my own and found a company to take me on, and learned while working for that company. But I liked that this would take a bit of time and I thought there'd be more hands on instruction. At least I know I'll be doing 10k miles with an experienced driver.

 

Well... interesting turn of events today!
Something is going on in Indiana with how they are handling out of state drivers looking to obtain their CDL's here. A good bunch of people who are still in the early stages (range 2 and below) are being sent home to get their permits from their home state; at the school's cost. The students can choose to come back on the school's dime or opt out of Quality with nothing owed. People on range 3 or above from out of state are going to be pressed to get their courses and tests done quickly, and those of us from Indiana are sort of in limbo. On one hand there are less students, but on the other hand, we are on the bottom of the list, since there is no rush to get us licensed and on the road.
