Oh sure, more money for the industry to have to shell out for so called safety.
Screw'em I say, if they are in such a hurry to pass or do not pass safely now, does anyone realistically believe this will cure those problems??
some ask about keeping them clean, and if rocks will damage them.
What if a couple of doods decide to rip one off..???
Will they have to remove the entire door assembly?
Once the door is removed, now a whole new theft can occur.
Like maybe stealing all the tv sets inside??
Interesting concept for equipment

You can just bet on it. They already have straight trucks that have scrolling billboards on the sides of them. Then there was the outfit in Vegas that thought it would be cool to build a box that was clear, and put a stripper inside. That came to a screeching halt after numerous crashes where the drivers were watching the stripper rather than the roadway.
The only problem with the "let them die" theory, is that they will take a bunch of innocent people with them. Otherwise, I would agree with that completely!
The government is primarily to blame for the lack of intelligence in the population! They have put in safety mandates that protect way too many idiots from their own actions. . . -
Normally stupid people start dying off before they start driving. The number one cure is child discipline early. I remember seeing this thing on the news about the number of teens that die during Spring Break in Daytona. This one couple were weeping and sobbing over their son. This kid was in one of those high rise motels dropping down from balcony to balcony and missed the rail below. 14 stories straight down. Guess some parent group will start clamoring for safety nets on motels. And I am supposed to feel sorry for some idiot hanging over a balcony 15 stories in the air?Last edited: Jun 18, 2015
Big Don Thanks this. -
There is simply no way it will be employed. Not on a large scale, the cost would be prohibitive, and it could open the door for liability in crash circumstances. The answer is more passing lanes or more driver awareness.
When someone is trying to pass me I get as far over as I can do they can see the road. Anything else is on them -
It could be good for seeing stoplights, so people aren't running red lights behind a slow rolling truck, or blocking an intersection when the truck has to stop immediately beyond. Somehow I think people would still do that though, they could just say "well, I was watching its brake lights". That would be its fundamental problem, giant light in middle of vehicle, distracting from brake lights (unless the whole screen turned red in unison).
