    Btw taxes are not withheld. Thats is your responsibiliry to set a % aside in escrow to pay quarterly or however you set it up. A good accountant might not be a bad expense starting out til you learn the ins and outs.

    I thought SNI would take out taxes and i would file a tax return in April get some money back.

    not as an IC. IC is an independent small business man. Takes care of most things with the business. some minor stuff SNI handles as a service. You would have to ask those IC's directly on that kind of stuff.

    Company driver would have taxes withheld. As well as have benefits available health ins, 401K some other stuff are an option.

    Let me ask you this then.In 1996 Bill Clinton pass a law for small business.That you don't need pay taxes for 5 years.Do truckers fall under that guide line?

    no. does not apply to my knowledge. BUT this is a good example of speaking with a good accountant who knows trucking.

    second is that law even still in effect?
