    I suspect that they are but the company protects them. 10% of the time im in the office talking to the office people, so its not like I see them everyday.

    The old joes are hanging by a thread and this company is going downhill. They are now using 3d parties to do the jobs. Hiring independent contractor drivers, and hiring 3d party helpers. 2014 managers meeting was cancelled so that they can save $20,000.

    The pay did drop! Some of the Hispanic workers that have been working there for a long time are still around today. And you know with their inability to communicate in english, the payroll people gives them a hard time. One of the helpers did not get paid for a 20k+ pack and load, and payroll told him to speak with an spanish speaking person in payroll. The helper could not get a hold of the person.

    I worked at Untied Van Lines for almost 20 years and yes it is a bunch of crack heads -drunks -criminals-You do have quite a few drivers that take pride in what they do and are honest -Its just when it gets busy in the summer months they tend to hire anybody or better yet use these temp agencys who get there workers off the street thats when it starts to get bad -Sorry to see that you had such a bad time at New World I worked right down the road from there Cranbury office -Place I worked at was by and far the best moving company going I heard some horror stories bout other companys and how they treated there workers -Friend of mine who also was a mover said he worked for this outfit down in south jersey and that he and a couple other guys went all the way to Richmand VA to unload a straight truck my buddy was the driver so next pay check he short by quite a bit he goes and asks the dispatcher what was going on with the pay and she tells him we only pay for the time that you work and not windsheild time -My friend tells her but I drove the truck Im the driver she tells him yea were working on that lol my friend ended up leaving one there trucks in middle of a city and walked home
