You are aware that at the top of the page right across from the page numbers there is a link that says "Watch Thread"? If you use that you won't have to make a post like this on any of the other threads you may want to watch. Hope that helps.

This is a mileage charge you have to pay for every dispatch mile you drive. Then if you stay through the end of your lease you get all of that back as your lease completion bonus. Which if you understand it, all they are doing is forcing you to save money with no interest so when you turn the truck in at the end of the lease you'll have something to pay for whatever repairs need to be done and keep the leftover as your bonus.

It's just a forced savings plan so you can cover the cost of repairing the tractor at the end of the lease if you didn't take care of it that well and whatever is leftover is yours to keep. Sad part is, if you get a used tractor that has a time on the lease left and you complete it, you don't get any of that mileage charge from the previous driver, only the miles you were dispatched on.

Supposedly if you take the tractor to another carrier, you might not have to pay that mileage charge. It just depends on how you sweet talk the guy in charge of trucks that leased but don't work for Prime. According to the lady that I have been talking to, she has had 20 trucks this month already leave for another carrier. That should tell you just how frustrating it is running crap rates!

But that's not a maintenance account you get to use while you lease the truck, lol. If you want a maintenance account, you better set one up on your own. The only thing they make mandatory for maintenance that you get to use is the tire fund at 2cpm but under the new contract they upped it to 3 or 4 cmp I believe now.

What is the benefit of keeping the truck from Prime if it's not ever going to be yours. SFI will let you keep the truck and even finance it at end as long as you've been a good customer.

I'm just not following the reasoning for keeping. I'm not for or against it either way just don't see the benefit of having to pay Prime a mileage fee.

Two points. First, I can buy it at the end of the lease and finance if I want just like SFI. Second, it's a walk away lease. So if the #### hits the fan, I can turn the truck back in and walk away. Don't plan on that, but it's nice to have a plan Z when I get to that point, LOL.

Another reason I want to keep my current truck is I've broken her in already and know how she runs. I've had all the computer stuff cleared, had the horsepower put back to 455 and the governors turned off and that progressive shift crap removed. I like how she runs and I know her. That's why :)

As for the fees, it looks like I'll get the 4.5 cpm waived from the sounds of it. That's the only fees I'll have if I come over to SNI.
