That's like how when going from New England to points south-southwest, they route through the Northeast Corridor (Boston/NYC/Phila/Baltimore/Washington) because of the cheaper fuel options along that route; I guess they're cheap enough that it's worth paying all the tolls. I care not, I just go 84 to 81 and ask for new fuel solutions.

Anyone in one of the new Double Bunk Freightliners?
-
I was for about a month. It broke down, needed a part that was on "back order" and I got to take a 300 mile bus ride to recover a '11 Prostar, my current ride. I'd had pretty good luck with my trucks before this so I guess it was my turn for what the shop termed "a real winner".tucker, Wild Murphy and xlsdraw Thank this.

After not a single load west, past Kansas, for a 5 months now,i talked with the management and they informed me that due to the drought in CA,and west coast drivers home times,i will not be going west any time soon,or ever.So as usual they hooked me up with a load to PA instead.
tucker Thanks this. -
To which I would reply "that is not acceptable, I am national, not eastern regional." and inform them that I'll be adding a secondary residence out west, if that's what it takes.
-
WM, which route did you take?
Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
Secondary residence doesn't work. I've got one in Montana I've never seen with Crete. If I tried to make it my primary residence, they said I'd have to stay out 5 weeks instead of the 3 weeks out I'm required from Florida.
Sustanon Thanks this. -
I managed to snag a CA load. But it's to get me home (been out almost 7 weeks at this point) and Crete's best plan to get me home from St. Louis involved taking trips to Lenoir City, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Council Bluffs IA before getting this trip from the Hunt terminal in Omaha. So much for getting home within a day (or week) of scheduled hometime.Sustanon Thanks this.

I-10. Had to. Shipper took forever, would never find parking the other way with hours running low.

2 weeks ago I went across West Virginia fully loaded 3 times in a row. I couldn't believe when I got the second load that said I was going back over those mountains. It sucked. When I got the third load going East again I just laughed and and kissed that weeks mileage goodbye. Not that I like it, I just accept it.tucker Thanks this.
