Hi, I have a sterling with ism 370, it runs hot 200-225 almost none stop while driving, it also takes a very long time to cool off once i stop, but cools very fast if moving, but i have to let off the throttle, any hill it's at 225 within 1-2 min and fan kicks on for a little turns off temp drops a few degrees and fan kicks back on...... if I start the truck it warms up to 180-190 and stays there, once I start moving and I'm loaded the temp jumps up very fast, I replaced the head gasket, pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses. nothing helped so far, it doesn't take coolant at all and there is NO mixing of oil and coolant, I even removed the thermostat and hooked up a fan over ride switch, so at this point I ride with the fan one almost all the time just to keep it at around 200, if I'm going down hill and get off the throttle completely it cools down to 175 with 1-2 min. I have no idea what to do at this point, any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.

How long has it been since you pulled A/C con. away from inter cooler an cleaned ft. side of rad. and cleaned back side of both ac. con and intake cooler, so if not much air can pass thru ac con. the air cant get thru rad to cool down your eng. the inside of rad. can be ck. for build up also?
-
I steamed/power washes the a/c cond & intercooler when I changed out the radiator a week ago, it's clean & clear you can see thru all of them.
baha Thanks this. -
Was a new or rebuilt water pump put in at time of rad. replacement?

new pump

How old is fan hub, fan clutch hub. Poss. slipping fan clutch or belt slipping on fan does any thing else run off same belt that drives fan.
-
clutch was also replaced along with belt, nothing else runs off the fan drive, I don't think it slipping since it's the only thinking keeping the truck at about 200. Could the air to air be clogged internally, the truck had a bad turbo at the time i purchased it and oil was on both ends of the air to air...

You may have found part of problem, if eng. cant get enough air it will not be able to make power, is black smoke showing out of EX, pipe at any time under hard pull, or when shifting gears and starting to pull again, you can try a new thermostat down to 170 or 180 to give it more of a chance to cool down, also a new fan on sensor can be put in so fan will turn on sooner,

No smoke but I do smell some fuel out the exhaust & the rig feels weak....I changed both sensors, ecm temp sensor and gauge sensor as well.

Have you checked the air to air for leaks?
If that oil wasn't clean out from the turbo,it's going to be twice as hard now after heat cycles.
