I think many of us would agree that banning public urination and enforcing use of basic public sanitation IS progress.

As far as the original question goes, the reasons an employer may fire you are state labor standards. All states decide the rights of employees and employers and that balance of power.
In Canada, there is no "right to work" style legislation (yet) and as such, we still have (comparably) high labour standards.
I was hired specifically as a U.S./Canadian driver, so if I were to become ineligible or just start saying no to US loads, I believe they would have grounds to fire me.
If I started as a Canadian only driver and then agreed to run stateside, only to change my mind and then refuse, I guess it would matter if we had updated my terms of reference or employment contracts when the change occurred.
Regardless, they could absolutely prioritize the international drivers and starve me of freight until I finally quit, since there is no basic weekly minimum mileage in my contract and I rely on the good graces of my dispatcher to keep me moving. Loads could simply dry up for me and incentivize me to either play by their rules, or move along. -
My brother in law worked for years for Muskoka Transport. He used to go to the USA, but the last three years he has stayed in Canada only. Now Titanium bought out Muskoka and they are after him to run in the states again. Any driver that does not have a criminal record they are after to run south. Any drivers with a record they are letting stay in Canadian only work.
So I told him to punch his dispatcher in the head, get convicted, and then they won't be after him to drive south. -
Or he could develop an allergy to heat

Considering it indecent exposed is not.

Off-Topic - Wow I am surprised Muskoka sold out to Titanium.... I used to work for Muskoka about 13 years ago and back then they were a decent sized company... Family owned I guess money really does talk
At the same time I shouldn't have clued into this because I haul recycling loads in Canada Fibers (400/Arrow Rd) and I see Titanium pulling the Muskoka trailers from the place... I have also seen some Muskoka trucks in as well...

One should be told UP FRONT that a Canadian trip may be happening. From that point, the person should decide to stay or leave.
