1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Over the last 3 years I've seen a steady increase of Western Express and SMX trucks pulling Western Express Trailers in the Northeast. It seems to me that the trucks are 70% of the time operated by a rookie or a mentally disturbed person.

After the last mentally disturbed person I ran into (He started yelling at a yard jockey at a lowes distribution about how the jockeys should be doing a better job of locating him an emty trailer for his drop and hook. It seems his emty was not in the slot number that was given to him. Gee, that never happens lol.) i went to Western Express' website.

They don't state much past they hire with 6 months experience and the base rate is 30 cents. Are they getting all the JB Schneider Swift Werner rejects?

western has been posting ads in the Prov journal since the winter. When I called they stated 6mo experience, then it was 3mo experience, then went to will train after cdl school. I decided not to go with them and found a local job. It pays per day not hourly and they're taken advantage of that now its getting hotter. Were going to tell the boss we want to be put back on hourly because were getting the short end of the stick.
