i recently spoke with a a major trucking company that said as long as i have a Michigan CDL and they don.t care if I went to school or how I got it they would hire me.
So I was going to ditch the School training and just home study and hire a truck for a day to do my own testing.
I spoke with my brother inlaw in Michigan who has had his CDL for 40 years and he said he was trying to do the same thing with one of his employees up there but Michigan testers are not inclined to pass you unless you go to their class and pay .
is this true?
If not i might just try to test out in Florida for my CDL in Florida and than transfer to michigan. -
Obviously that means that passing the Michigan CDL test is difficult, so what makes you think you can ditch school and pass the test? Do you have experience?
Whether it's true or not really shouldn't matter, if you can't pass the Michigan CDL then why would you want to be risking your own life on the road (much less everyone else's life on the road)? -
Classic driving school in Washington, Mi lets you rent a truck for $60 per hour. They also can set u up for a test if you have permit already
