Pet Policy Enforcement

How bout an emu? I have a couple and like to breed them....then raise the babies. Would I need a pet deposit for this ya think or should I just keep it quiet?

 

I think it's a Horrible idea.
What if they find out one way or another?

Lots of drivers want to stick their Nose in other drivers business.

 

It's cause they know the three of us are going out to eat and they can't go.

 

Just make up a weight. No one will know. The turnover in trucking is 100%+. These companies aren't staffed by people who give a ####.

 

Talking from practical experience, you should reconsider it. I mean that a large dog has a short lifespan as it is. Their body can only take so much abuse like getting into and out of a truck and especially holding their pee, which is one reason not to have them confined. I won't get into the loss of my dogs from bladder cancer, but the doc said that this can be a cause.

I assume you do not have a cdl yet, so I would take a hard look at the trucks you think you will drive and see if the dog can handle getting into and out of the truck. Remember that's three feet he can fall, which means broken bones.

 

Saw a great dane in a Prime truck once...L/O couple...poor dog.

 

I met a flatbedder last month in Wisconsin at a rest area with a Great Dane. It was scared to get out of the truck. I had to help him.

It was a very cool story. The guy had the dog cause the owners were moving to a place that didn't allow dogs so they were going to put it to sleep......let's not sugarcoat it....they were going to kill the dog. So the driver figured trucking with him was better than death.

 

I spent the last few months trying to find I company I liked that would allow my 80 pound weimaraner .
Between that and coming from a state with very little freight , I was starting to lose hope. There was no way I would ever leave my old dog , we have just been through too much. Smaller companies were more receptive.
Very recently the old boy died , as soon as I get over the loss I am going to start my search all over.
I am sure he would have loved the truck. He sure loved traveling in my van for weeks on end.
I hope you find a good company.
