Minooka is better since they opened the one at 112 Morris. Might find parking there more often, now.
St. Cloud was just converted from a Holiday about 10 years ago, and other Holidays came later and were changed back. The Road Ranger merge took farther south and east. Kwik Trips are small but numerous in MN.
I haven't stopped at St.Cloud since 2005.
And St. Cloud is probably named for a cloud of mosquitoes.

Rumor is that Kwik Trip is going to build 3 stations in St Cloud.
TruckDuo, truckon and KenworthGuyNH Thank this. -
You're not missing anything. That one sucks. I believe there is a decent T/A across the street.TruckDuo Thanks this.

Not anymore. Shut down and being torn down.
And that TA wasn't really all that decent. That one I have stayed at.
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Midwest has it's regional chains, like Kwik Trip in MN and WI and based out of LaCrosse(Star in Iowa only), Casey's General Stores, Kum and Go, QuikStop, and the FS one which came from Farm Service. Any of these can have showers, I guess, although have never seen showers at Kum and Go
One iKwik Trip in particular, the one at exit 279 I-90 in Austin, MN has 3 showers, and a smallish drivers lounge with an outdoor deck. The old building which once housed Watts Cooking is now gone. The Cat Scale is the only thing left original.TruckDuo Thanks this. -

Wouldn't it be easier to just name off the Pilots that are worth a ####?
double yellow and MJ1657 Thank this. -
it is all relative
nothing in northern nj is any good hence Mahwah
Minooka is terrible because it is small and the Morris TA is only 10 miles away
Lodi and Ripon aren't bad once you get over being in CA -
Minooka was bad, worse than it is now, because of company fueling solutions, and the outlet at Morris across IL47 from the Costco Distribution Center has helped that, and that one is better planned for getting fuel and leaving if that is what you want. If you don't require Pilot coffee and to be able to use your Pilot points, the Road Ranger/Pilots take off some of the traffic, too
I've noticed fuel at the Morris location is a little more in line there with the TA for posted prices. I'm guessing that Minooka may get worse again because of that.
The outlet in NJ I like the best is the J at Carney, which I never see anymore. That little Pilot that was next door is tiny and hard to access, too.TruckDuo Thanks this.
