    For humor only,,but true..

Years ago when my wife was solo, she stopped at a truck stop somewhere in Ohio. It was a hot summer night, and there was still daylight. She retires to her bunk wearing only a long t shirt if you get the drift. Suddenly she is knocked out of her bunk, and looks out the curtain. The Swift driver parked on her right has pulled out without watching his trailer and drug his tandems over the fender and hood of her truck. He isn't stopping and is leaving a trail of plastic, metal and fiberglass....Without thinking or hesitation she is in the front seat ,,,door open and slides down to the ground. When she hits the dirt, she realizes that her night shirt has risen up to her neck,,,undaunted she tries to run the ####### down, running barefoot across the parking lot. He keeps on going. Returning to her truck she is greeted by truckers who witnessed the event but were to distracted to remember..Imagine that,,,, dash cam would have been great.

Your chosen responses allowed simple analysis to assume your age and dictated by your opinions to judge where your morals are on the subject. With out directly saying what you would or would not do in the situation,.. you left insinuation on the table, making it easy to be judgmental. Thats why I said, if you truly understand what I was saying,.. your response should have been different.

You dont have to be sorry to inform me about anything. I am as cynical and opinionated as they come. I am honest and up front as they come also. With that said,.. I hope I come across as straight forward as can be, so there is no misunderstanding exactly what I feel and think here. No one has to like or agree with what I think or feel. Not asking you to agree with me. As as long as we have an understanding between each other, we know where the lines are drawn. Thats how I see people.

Its ok to be set back by my reply. I have that effect on people. I am not offended by your reply,.. I expected a bit more to be honest. Perhaps now you may understand me a little more than before.

I dont need a life history lesson from you. I'm 47, raised 3 kids and supported a disabled brother since he was 15. I grew up in foster homes in the Wash DC ghetto. I am a self made person. No parents or family to assist in my struggles through life. At 23 I was already married, first son on the way, bought my first house the following year all while paying for nursing and medical expenses for my brother.

Maturity is a perception of the mind. Its like asking yourself how intelligent you think you are. How do you base that kind of question or compare what one person believes is intelligent compared to someone else? Your perception and mine are a bit different I think.

I am an O/O and pay outrageous insurance premiums,.. yet I would never expect to be paid by my insurance for doing the right thing. Guys your age, my kids included, seem to have many expectations and feel they are owed in some way, simply by just being. Thats how I interpret the OP and your responses. I wish I knew the words to express how deeply I disagree with that kind of sentiment.

Don't worry about my skin. I think at your age you understand that emotions/feelings can't be accurately telegraphed through typed messages. I'm just making it clear that you can't judge a book by its cover; God forbid if I assumed "To Kill A Mocking Bird" was about shooting down birds and placed it back on the shelf.

And this isn't a dick measuring contest; my response was to your presumption that I'm selfish & only care for myself. We can go on forever about our struggles & triumphs but it's pointless.

No need to tell me you don't care what others think about you either; I would hope you wouldn't.

And the fact that you're 47, raised 3 children and don't believe that you can't learn anything from someone younger or an opinion that differs from yours tells me all I need to know.

We're just different people. Farthest thing from my mind is a wife, kids, getting a mortgage, etc at this age and making it more difficult than it has to be. I work smarter, not harder. I do have a mentally disabled brother that's a year younger than me who left with me when I moved out at 16 and will be with me every step of the way; the coincidence there.

SO.....What happened to this? Did he get the 50?
If your gonna sell out and put your karma aside at least do it for more money LOL

The day I ask for money for a video like that I will ask 5,000$ LOL

Back on topic, LIKe it or NOT! I think its his right to ask for money. He bought his camera and he owns the video. Just like photographers who sell their video to TMZ or news stations.

Has no one here seen the movie NIGHT CRAWLER? LOL

    Its a free market!!!!!!
I would like to see or know if it is possible for the lawyers to snatch the video. I am gonna say they cant but I could be wrong.

Personally I wouldn't piss on a insurance companies building if it was on fire LOLOLOL

Now if some poor sap is a victim and he needs the tape to clear him self, ok. No problem. Its his....
But if its to benefit the insurance company, HAHAHAHAHH It will cost them!

We all have the right to our opinions and are allowed to act on them and allowed to them.

So before anyone lights me up remember not to throw stones if your house is of glass...

If I get to the point in my life where I even find the thought of selling a dash cam video for $50 I am doing something wrong with my life and need a better job.
    Just saying..

Insurance companies are a business like any other, and the primary goal of ANY business is to turn a profit. The more an insurance company has to pay out in settlements and claims, the more they are going to charge the honest, hard working people who are covered by policies under that insurance company. That's how it works. Those honest, hard working people are free to shop around and find a different insurance company if they want to...but they all operate the same way, and that is with the goal of showing a profit....just like any other business.

I caught a parking lot incident on my dash cam one time. I didn't realize it at the time but was looking over the video later and realized it showed exactly what had happened. I emailed it to Roehl's safety dept. as it showed their driver was not at all to blame.

The idea of profiting from it never entered my mind.

We all do what we think is right.
