i recently got s weed possession charge in Ga. I also just purchased a truck and applied at AIS in Atlanta Ga as an O/O the guy said I'm automatically denied employment bc of drug conviction. Please let me know of any container companies in the Atlanta area who will let me lease my truck on despite the drug conviction.

Sounds like really bad timing. Drug convictions don't mix with trucking. You should consult an attorney who specializes in this area and look into other employment. Fat chance of any trucking company taking you. Too much risk.

    SLICKVICK76 Thanks this.

But I have friends who have convictions for drug charges who are pulling for companies and besides I only got 1 year probation and after that year it will be just like it didn't happen anyways.

It don't matter...your nonchalant attitude leads me to believe that you'll do it again...Co's are getting tighter on hiring people with drug offenses..and the Co's that are hiring those, well simply put. ..they're garbage outfits and have no standards

f you successfully completed your sentence and your case was discharged, you have not been convicted of the offense(s). If a potential employer asks only about convictions, you do not have to report the First Offender discharge. If the potential employer asks about arrests, however, you should report the arrest. - See more at: http://www.gjp.org/programs/criminal-records/faqs/faqs-first-offender/#.dpuf
