Loves in Jasper Tn.
So Saturday I pick up this load GP in GB.
SNI doesn't have a load number.
find out load is loaded on 3rd party trailer.
Pick up loaded 3rd party trailer and this evening it blows a tire I make it to my location call in and SNI SEM tells me they can't fix 3rd party trailer. WTF
SEM tells me I have to call 3rd party which I'm like I don't have that info. WTF
So they give me number and 3rd party says it's SNI responsibility so I call SNI and needless to say it'll be am before it's fixed.
It might get fixed in Florida because I'm not waiting long in am.
Location for the night

What has happened to all the NEW choice srivers that come on this site and get info say they're coming only to never be heard from again. Did they come to choice and realize it takes work so they don't have time to update on here.
Or even some like ew who was a regular but seems to have disappeared.stevep1977, rickybobby and 91B20H8 Thank this. -

stevep1977, mickimause and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
It was a heck of journey leaving leipsic oh today...one road after another with barricades...high water practically everywhere..even the dam in defiance oh gave way so to speak and flooded several roads there..

I was talking to a new choice driver a couple week ago and his story was this. He got his CDL and his plan was to put in the minimum amount of time as a company driver with Schneider (6 months exactly) and then was going immediately to choice. The day he hit the 6 month mark he stated he was switching to choice but operations in Atlanta was hesitant to approve him. He threatened to quit so they approved him.
He stated he did a $2900 week in 7 days. I said net? No, it was gross. He said he was barely making any money and his wife was demanding he be home more often. Obviously the guy doesn't know how to schedule and he wasn't willing to put in the work as a company driver, which seems to have translated over to IC. He was complaining that Schneider is screwing the drivers by not making all the freight available and that you can't make money on the program. I guess some people just want to take the easy way the entire way and aren't willing to work hard. Of course, it doesn't help that people on the forums brag how easy it is, for whatever ulterior motive they have for gloating about things.mickimause, 91B20H8, drvrtech77 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I just sat for 16 hours with a 3rd party trailer flat tire til they could figure out who was responsible for the fix.
And I get no extra pay.
It's sometimes harder to understand SNI than other times.mickimause, 91B20H8 and stevep1977 Thank this. -
at the account shipper. for the night. Apparently they operate one way and schneider schedules another.
My entirely reasonable plan according to the assignment info given for THIS location and my experience with another location delivering to the same pita customer is to pu the day before to get staged and shut down for 10 at woodhaven to deliver at 0600 in taylor. Works well as evidenced by how many times I was posting from woodhaven. UNTIL NOW.
Showed up at 1330ish for what was to be a D/H. Only no sni trailer in a door. ok, still have time for live load and continue on my plan. no sweat really. Until I am told that the load isnt even pulled yet or they dont even know if its been produced for loading. WTMFBS is this?
So now I am told I will be loaded by 1700 but that means F all since I wont be able to leave til 0DFO hours. Smallest bright spot is the detention time. #### skippy I am not finalizing this section of wf UNTIL I pull out in the morning.
Could have done it all without even needing to take 30.TennMan, 91B20H8 and mickimause Thank this. -
sounds to me thats on SNI for booking 3rd party IC frieight or offering IC 3rd party freight/trailer. SNAFU like this throws off your whole booking doesnt it?
-
Yes it does.

Schneider can't control what equipment the shipper loads. I had a FedEx expedited load before and FedEx loaded a Xtra trailer. The equipment was leased to FedEx so I was hauling their freight on their equipment. When notifying the "dumb" person in the office that a FedEx trailer was being released to me for hauling, the operations person stated "Why would you take non SNI equipment"? Umm, because they loaded the freight on it? LOL. Needless to say they completed the assignment on operations end since I couldn't get workflow to accept the trailer I was given. Hell, I had to wait 4 hours offsite (weren't allowed past security until the load was completed) so I had no idea what trailer was being loaded until the yard driver pulled it for me.
