I have heard many good things and many bad things about this company. I am currently in trucking school. A recruiter came in and told us many good things. My question is that she told us if we sign up with the company and take a certain type of run and don't like it that they would move us around until we find something that we do like, is this true? I read many reviews saying there is no home time and it is mainly for just someone starting out. A lot of people at the trucking school are saying Werner is no good that everyone should avoid them.

Where do you live? Did you ask the recruiter if they drove for Werner?

    You can do much better.

Recruiters have nothing to do with where you're sent to otr. They tell, everyone what they want to hear hence how they get you to sign up.

But I see a lot of people liking Warner as a starter.

You can do better, look around, drip off apps. All anyone can say is no. I have no idea what you mean by "a certain type of run you don't like". They are not going to keep deadheading you to find a run you like. Nobody will do that and they shouldn't.

They said if you went to a regional route and decided you didn't like it and wanted something shorter they would move you to a dedicated run or long haul. I don't know I call them different kinds of runs.

Oh, yeah they would probably work with you. Again though, you can do better. You have to remember that all of these fancy hometime policies have a price. You don't make the same money. Oh sure, there are amazing dedicated accounts where you get both decent hometime and money, and all the spots are filled. If you get primarily paid by the mile then you have to have MILES.

Go with Werner. They'll even move you to a different company when you realize you don't like them.

In all seriousness, do they have a terminal near you ? All of these companies are the same for the most part. I'd recommend going with one that has a terminal near you. That way all repairs can be done on your hometime.
