Was just wanting to know if anyone has any experience with these FL112's, I found a 1997, tandem axle with 440k on M11 cummins. Looking to pull 53' dry vans. Is there a reason I dont see many of them on the road? thanks
Considering a Freightliner FL112

I did drive one in the past 2001 but mine had a small cat in it, truck alone was good.
I am no Freightliner fan but that 112 gave me a good ride for a while.
Good luck -
you pull some good weight with it? never had a m11 but i hear its a stout motor

I drove one many, many years ago ... It was a brand new company truck I got ... Probably 94 - 95 era ... I don't recall any problems with it, slightly shorter nose, engine power was comparable to our N14's we had ... But they were both set at about 350 hp too!
Pulled a refer 48 + Canada ... Mostly 70k+ gross ...
Nice thing was with the occasionally light loads ... It got better fuel mileage, by better than 1 mpg, and used a tad less idling all night too ...
I drove it for about a year, then got a different new truck after the next year ... We went back to the FLD 120's and N14's ... I thought it was a good truckLast edited: Jul 12, 2015
