MVR record question.

It's not going to prevent you from being hired at any company that hires grads.

 

1 moving violation in 3-5 year MVR is acceptable.
2 moving violations in 3-5 years puts you at a rotten company
3 moving violations in 3-5 years sends you home unemployable to almost everyone.

 

Most carriers only consider the last 3 years of your mvr when making hiring decisions.

 

Hopefully by the time you graduate, that would have long since fallen off the radar. Keep yourself CLEAN from this day forward.!!

 

I had an accident and a speeding ticket both right around 2.5 years ago. Neither of these is showing up on my MVR or background check...did I just get lucky or is this a mistake?
I'm still putting them on applications, just odd to admit to an accident and then hear that there's no record of it.

 

You can always go to the DMV in person and just ask an "anonymous" question like, "how long are things on our state's driving records". once given the answer, like 3, 4 or 5 years, wait till it falls off, but I'd be safer rather than sorry not to mention them on any application.

Once the "fall off" periods comes and by at least one month after that, do not mention them anymore.

fate may have it that someone was asleep at the switch, and you sneaked by. If someone audits the driving records and finds this mistake, they will make the corrections, so you do not want to be caught in a lie.

 

Age 35? well, that's gettin' kind of old.

 

There is a record of it...somewhere. The only time it will come up is when you don't want it to.
