You say you did 6 and 6, Would have it been any difference going right to L/P rather than the company side for 6mos? Im to KLLM and wanted to the L/P right after my 6wks out.....I have a plan..
2weeks out 2days home,, run att 63-67mph... want a payment less than $500? In put please
-
Not gonna happen.
-
.
But if you're a IC driver why it can't happen ? -
Ha! Think their settlements are like 900+ a week
-
So help me understand or what numbers are going to work going L/P..( Truck payment) I understand all the other cost ie maint, ins, fuel) Is there a truck payment at the 550 a week, you said something about 900 aweek settlement is that for EVERYTHING?
-
But 900 ain't bad for a 2015 or 2016 truck. Plus other things witch it will come up to about 1400. The thing I don't like about KLLM l/p is that you have to buy ur own reefer fuel. But I heard there truck payments is about 500 a week but it goes up witch sucks. Let me ask you this what you think about Schneider choice borad program they have?
-
The 900 plus a week would be for ins, trk payment, qualcomm, prepass, etc. You would have to ask the drivers on the ic program on the schneider forum. I leased from swift and total settlement was around 735 a week for a cascadia. But i am sure things have changed in over a year. I looked on schneiders web site and they estimate avg 1.37 a mile which is what i got at swift. But also fuel prices were higher then which incrementally increases ur fuel surcharge. If you are single with no bills......have at it, enjoyable and good experience. I had no bills or debt and wad single at the time and made good money and set my own schedule. The key is your fuel and the taxes. Hiding ur real income in tax write offs.
If you are married and or have kids that need medical ins....DO NOT DO IT!!!!! with obama care now, the cost of private individual health ins is through the roof. HUGE benefit for being comp driver. If u lease u have to run. Then u fight to pay ins and still get home enougj to satisfy ur family. There will be some that brag they can do both and still buy a boat and take 2 vacations a year. They are the rare exceptions, not the average.KingG239 Thanks this. -

Thanks for the reply.... Well I do have a house payment and all that goes with it (cable,Elec, water) total pay out at about 1100 a month...So if I could get about 5500/6000 a month. Is that asking to much.
