    What ET62 said..
I heard similar stories to OP about the bulk IC side. Gotta run your butt off to make any $$$. And following all these van IC threads and seeing the nice $$ that they make. I heard that the bulk choice is being tested very soon. I have been on the company bulk side for 9 years. ( I got extremely lucky and had some dedicated runs ) for about 6 of those. Lucky enough that I was in cory about twice a year....LOL. But I am looking to make a change. Either to the bulk IC side or an option here locally in Cleveland. So this is a depressing post. I will be following along to see what happens.

    ET62 Thanks this.

Yeah it's been a whole lot of blowing smoke as far as when choice will start. Was supposed to be late last year, then that changed to January, then March, then June and now when you ask about it, they act like they don't even know what choice is. Last time I asked about it I asked 2 people, 1 said they were going to start testing it in august, the other said honestly it probably won't happen because of the profit margin and empty miles factoring in together since all of our loads end at a tank wash. I've driven anywhere between 0-1,400 miles to drop an empty at a tank wash after a load. I don't see choice happening for a long time, and if it's anything like the launch of the workflow....you're going to want to wait at least 2 months for them to work the bugs out, unless you like making no money.

    ET62 and exracer941 Thank this.

hmmmm lets see $1.38 for bulk and still having a desk jockey running your life telling you there's no freight
or more money for a drop and hook van operation where you are running your own show picking from thousands of loads daily.

As a current bulk company driver ive sat almost every weekend for the last few months, not going to sit this weekend, but its a #### run to cory.

I was interested in bulk choice as well but everyone ive asked said its never going to happen. I see all the numbers these van choice guys make, i wonder if it would be possible to make decent money in the nj area and not have to live in the truck for weeks.

Sitting around waiting for a new load and not knowing where im going next is getting old.

Being a Schneider company driver isn't exactly high paying AND sitting on weekends? lol can't do much worse than that just saying.
Well being an IC bulk for $1.38 sitting on weekends might be worse lmao.

Its dirty, its a mud pit when it rains, pot holes that can swallow an entire truck.

Its also in the middle of nowhere amd they dont let anyone use the car on weekends so if youre stuck there for a weekend and run out of food youre either going to starve or pay $$ for some delivery food.

The bar across the street is about the only good thing.

Not to mention the only loads out are BS runs from either monaca or ellwood city, as an IC both cost about $30 just to leave the mountainous high grade hell holes to get to the interstate to run West Virginia. Yay
