D12 drain plug size

Can anyone tell me the size of the drain plug that is located on the bottom of the pan/sump, not the one the side. Would like to carry the correct size socket in my tool kit. Thanks.

Hi, depends of the year of your (truck) engine and the oil pan style (steel or resin) 12 mm allen key is very popular.

Pre 03 is a 12 mil allen after 03 is a 1 1/4 careful when you tight it has a click build in for torque purpose on the later one being that oil pan is fiberglass
