Honestly I would suggest not using his phone as a GPS they are not as good as a stand alone device,

    Tami Thanks this.

Don't rely heavy on gps, I did and more than once it tried to take me on weight violation roads. The gps I use is rand McNally tnd. Sometimes it gives me longer route or makes me do a detour for no reason.

    Tami Thanks this.

My Rand McNally 730 once tried to get me to rob a liquor store. I instead turned it off and brought out the road atlas.

"Turn right in 700 feet and take all the money out of the register."

    Tami and crxdc Thank this.

Rand McNally 530 works perfect, but ya might have to update it (requires 4-8gb memory card, can't remember). The Power Drive 2000w inverter works like a charm (the older model). I've used it for almost 3 years. Hook up a fridge, microwave, electric grill and xbox, works flawlessly.

I actually wanted to buy the new 2000w PD but the old one still works. Hope that helped..

    Tami Thanks this.

like the other have said a gps is a good thing.... i have a tnd 720 and love it BUT you must be smarter than the gps..... they will all tell you to do stupid things at times..

as to the invertor check and see how big the company will let him put in.... 2000w is nice but some companies will only let you have a 1500 or LESS...... the new power drive's you can control with a smart phone.....

    Tami Thanks this.
