I just signed the papers on a 2007 Volvo 670, I really like the comfort, how quiet it is, how it drives, it has 800000 miles but has inframe and new tires, clutch brakes, new exhaust, its super nice, anybody have experience with these, cummins isx 450 and 10 spd trans. My old tractor I traded in is a 99 freight shaker century class, they gave me a decent trade in value on it considering age I am paying 23000 over 36 months. Also can I go to California with this truck??? I want to run a few loads that way for ####s and giggles, only state besides Alaska I haven't been to. Thanks

One thing you should know about your truck is that the motor is a cummins not a Cummings. Lol

But anyways congrats I hope you have better luck with a rebuilt motor than I have. Also you should be able to come to Cali being an owner of one truck but, you can look it,up.. Also your payments are really good on it you could def have it paid off in like 20 months easy if you drive enough anyway lol.

I am used to Detroit motors but ive heard good things about cummins, I did take it to Christophers diesel repair in Oxford, Al and have them look over it with a fine tooth com before hand, there pretty decent guys there and Ive had them work on my current truck before. They said its a good tractor, but I got a 30 day guarantee on the truck so Im gonna hual some heavy loads with it and see what it does..

What do you mean that he can come to Cali with one truck? As far as I know he cant go there with 2007, only 2008 and up or he has to retrofit DPF

Check if they did main bearings, they usually fail on Cummins at 800-850k miles

I hope it works out for you. Hope the truck was never apart of Swift's fleet. Other than that. Make your money. Be safe.

Appreciate the info, they did he mains and bottom end when it was inframed, I am going to run it hard and pay it off quick, I can pay 2000 mnth on it with no penalties for early pay off, its only 900 month which isn't bad for financing my first truck, I paid cash for last tractor so I don't have credit history on commercial stuff, all things considered I am pretty satisfied with the deal.

Get your self set up with Cummins self serve. You can enter your engine serial number and if you ever have problems with the engine you can look up the codes or symptoms on line . Also educate yourself on the egr cooling system on the same web site.
