I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Blew a trailer tire on a critical load, 50mi from TA in Greencastle PA. Slowed way down, and by the time I get here, NO PLACE TO PARK and the shop says 5hrs to get to me. Gonna try and get a nap while snuggled up next to an oversized load that made its own place next to the scales. Then figure out what to do about the rest. Stupid Staples Nazis. Who the **** receives DRY FREIGHT at FIVE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING!? And if you're early or late, it's a SIX HUNDRED DOLLAR FINE.

IT'S PAPER, GUYS! COPIER PAPER!! YOU ARE NOT A COLD STORAGE WAREHOUSE, AND THIS IS NOT FRESH SEAFOOD OR EGGS!!!

Grumble Grumble thought I left this **** behind when I quit hauling temp control....

 

So last night I saw a post shared by an acquaintance on Facebook that was, in a word, horrifying. It was a woman with her pants pulled down, reaching between her legs with an American flag and wiping her privates, all while flipping the viewer the bird with an insolent smile on her face. The text read something like, "You mad tho? I wipe my ### with the American flag!" and continued with some anti-American rhetoric. Comments on the posting had pics of other people doing the same thing.

I reported the post to FB as distasteful/offensive and they replied that after reviewing the post it "does not violate Facebook's community standards."

I replied that I will not be part of a community that condones such despicable activity and am deleting my account.

I posted to my wall that if anybody wants to keep in touch with me they can PM me for my contact info. In a few days I will deactivate my account. FB has become just a source of entertainment and a virus delivery system. Just wanted to let you all know in case you didn't already what kind of trash those goons find acceptable.

This will be the only online forum I will be using, at least for a while. If somebody tried that garbage here the moderators would spontaneously combust, right after they spiked that posting into oblivion!

I'll be sharing my political opinions re the flag and patriotism at the voting.g booth, and I invite you all to join me.

I deleted my FB account a couple weeks ago too, I have no use for a place that let's that kind of crap go on.

 

im thinking of doing the same... anymore it's nothing but political crap and it's starting to just get old.

 

Gonna delete on Monday to give any real friends time to PM me their contact info or ask for mine.

Not worth the time anymore. This is now my only online presence. Will resume with the Captain Zoom stuff next week.

 

The truck stop at the top of I77 (X100) in Mt Airy NC (used to be Brintle's, now a Flying J) really sucks. Their laundry is pretty much nonexistent (2 out of 6 dryers working, and those don't work well; also, two working washers that don't have a useful spin cycle and leave your clothes in a pool of water). I said something to staff and they apologized sympathetically and said the owner refuses to get new equipment. One of those washers has been unplugged for about a year and a half. The "lounge" is hot and uncomfortable and all the merchandise is overpriced. And although it is a Flying J there is a whole rack of pornographic magazines in the trucker's section.

Real classy, guys. At least the staff is friendly and helpful.

I will fuel here no more forever.
