Thanks Fr8monkey. I have been following your posts an appreciate all the info you have given us. How does fuel purchasing work? Do you get a card from them or you handle that on your own?

 

The one thing that did not settle right with me was the recruiter told me the 75% had the fuel surcharge included so if that is the case your getting less than 75% of the BOL. When I challenged this and said it should be 75% of the BOL like you mention plus 100% of the FSC because we are paying 100% of the fuel the lady got all defensive put me on hold and the phone hung up. I am guessing they really dont deal with experienced drivers alot who actually know what they are doing. Their ad says strictly 75% of BOL 65% if late nothing about FSC to me its saying your not getting FSC and if your late you get even less.

 

U get a combination company Id card/Comdata card with your pic on it,lol....every single fuel clerk I have handed it to just looks at me and says or thinks wtf is this? Then u have to say it's a Comdata card just swipe it,haha

 

Most times, when dealing with brokers, there is no fuel surcharge the rate is the rate. Sometimes there may be a fsc but that is rare. For example you cal TQL loads pays 1,500 thats what it pays no separate fsc, just make sure they include unloading, if not it could come from you.

 

Yeah my old Star came in at 19500, and you can't take a 45k load unless you bypass the scales, the plus side, they don't get beat up in the wind.

 

Looks about right, but she will give you a smooth ride on a windy day.

 

Has anyone that went through orientation at eagle seen any volvos on Quality's lots?
