Brakes chatter and vibrate

    Just bought a 2012 freightliner cascadi a....the front brakes (drums) sometimes chatter loudly and vibrate when braking. It doesn't do it on every brake application. What could be causing this?

    That is a known issue with the freightliners. Even my 2015 did that. I would have the brake dust blown out, brakes adjusted, and well greased and it would stop for a while and then have to repeat the above.

    '12 freightliner cascadia......drum brakes on steer axle chatters loudly and vibrates when brakes applied...doesn't do it every brake application. Any ideas why this is occurs? Some research has lead me to the reduced stopping distance manufacturers started complying with.
