One last thing about how great Funish Line Truck and Trailer were.. Right before I left, I asked how much they charge to reprogram the computer, I have been thinking about turning the truck up a few miles per hour.. The mechanic told me I had already spent enough money for the day grabbed his computer and bumped my system up for free of charge!!

That's crazy!! Who does things for nothing now a days?? Awesome group of people!!

 

Well hot high soot level readings, doser is working great, but the filter might need changed.. Taking truck back and turning it in for new one..

 

Agreed Stormy!! Lol / but man I love this job!! I will look at the # for the new truck, Aaron and I talked yesterday and it sound like I'll be about the same payment as this, but with 100,000 bumper to bumper and 500,000 on the engine..

But I do have to be approved by the finance company, and I did loss my job two years ago and loss the house 6 mo. after that.. During that time my son decided to brake his arm with no insurance, and student loans got about 6 months back.. I have worked through some of this since starting here, not just saving money aside to spend on brake downs.. Lol So we will see that could be a 30 / 70 towards a no!! I did see they ran a credit report!!

Anywho, I'll get a wheel barrow and hand push my loads if I have too.. And Bruenger has been very supportive through this.

The threads I have read on here about drivers bashing Aaron Beggs I can promise are from upset drivers.. That dude has called me, emailed me and has seemed generally concerned.. Even Tom and I are communicating better, and I can't say enough about Kenny in dispatch and the care our drivers show for one another.

So in the end I hope it works out!! If not I'll apply to become a company driver..

 

So I got a loaner truck for the week, my new truck with the Detroit DD15 is ready for p/u next week..

I hear good things about the DD15 from mechanics, so I'm happy.. My Conversation went something like this, "what do you think about the DD 15", Reply, "we hardly ever see them".. Lol that's what I'm talking about!!

So next week I will be changing my name from 70058 to 70073!! Hehe

 

They are 2016 Freightliner Cascade with a DD15 (465hp?) with a 10 speed -w- OD manual Eaton Transmission.. The truck it self is more basic that what I have now, no power door locks, no trailer brake handle, a spot for a fridge but no fridge.. No inside 5th wheel pull..

But it does have bunk beds and dual ride air seats so that is a plus!! I think I'll like it, it is twins screw no float axel (thank u load)..

I did a rescue load last night, brought a load of Cherry's to the Wal-Mart DC in south central Illinois, and been driving the loaner truck it has a DD15.. What a smooth and quite pulling motor..
