Looking to replace shocks on the front.

Should I replace with factory Volvo? Or are there better quality out there?

I am at 50% on my steer tires so I'm wanting shocks that will last through the life of these and through the life of my next set if possible.

I'm not sure about the lifespan but I got a set of Gabriel adjustable that TA sells about 6 months ago. I'm very pleased with the ride.

    Terry270 Thanks this.

I use Gabriel Fleetline and they are just as good as the OEM Volvo (which are made by Sachs) and IMO, way overpriced by the Volvo Stealership.

The local Volvo Dealer near me also sells Gabriel Fleetline as a alternative, in addition to their OEM shocks.

Gabriel even makes replacement cab shocks, which I also use.

It is recommended to replace the road shocks every 100,000k miles, whether they need it or not.

I have found good deals on Gabriel shocks on amazon.com usually no sales tax and free shipping.

Decided to go with the Gabriel's. As cheap as they are I see why its good to change them so often. Now lets see if my one steer tire smooths back out

Did you ever get your shocks? Needing to replace mine and looking for decent replacements.

Yep went with the Gabriel's. So far so good, the funny wear I noticed on the steers is going away
