3406 cat 435hp upgrades

most of the early low hp cats had to change pistons injectors turbo an im thinking cam dont think your has steel pistons

 

My engine tag says the motor is rated for 435-550

there is nothing wrong with talking about these things. he is not talking about illegally modifying emmissions or tampering with ecm programming. he talked about upgrading the factory cat program or swapping out injectors and turbo. hell I can go to my local cat dealer and they will do that for me.

are you looking for more raw power or wanting better economy?

 

wanted bet anything that Cat will not upgrade that motor to 550 or 600 hp or 58 injectors? give me a break, please.

 

I have found that with alot of cat truck shops shutting down and warranty being less of an issue now days that cat shops (some at least) are willing to do a little more than they used to for their customers.

Can discuss 'upgrades'. The issue comes with modifying the ECM and emissions in motors that were under warranty and expecting said warranty to be honored after problems occurred from unwarranted work. Mainly modifying emissions though.

This is a 96 3406,.. I personally dont see where this engine can not be discussed to its fullest extent. Though,.. I may be corrected about that.

Personally I say bring it out,.. and what is not permitted will be edited,.. and you can carry the discussion to PM's. What you say in private we can not control. Out of sight,.. out of mind.
