How does one retrieve fault codes? My a/c fan runs for 4 seconds then shuts off, so my a/c doesn't cool. After power down & restart, it does the same thing, always ending with the same orange triangle "!" light on. it'll still run & charge batteries & run the blower unit inside the sleeper, just not the a/c.
so, how do I retrieve fault codes? It's a tripac evolution. -
great2c4me Thanks this.

What's the type anyway, R134? That'd be nice I guess -

Those exessive problems are strange to me. I got mine in 2011 brand new. Had the harness replaced on warranty because the bunkheater didn't work. Just after the warranty expired I blew the alternator. High loads like coffemaker and toaster might have been too much. Ever since I run those suckers on batteries only and recharge the batteries after the coffee is brewed.
I have about 4500 hrs on it and works just fine. Still the original belts in there and the replaced alternator. No codes at all. -
So I guess there's no way to get codes from the control panel in the sleeper, like that of a car's check engine light, huh???
I mean, I guess troubleshooting my problem isn't that hard: the a/c cools for about a minute, the outside condenser fan runs for 4 seconds then stops, the a/c stops blowing cold, and the fan trues running a couple more times, then fails and the APU goes on running without the hvac system. And I get an orange alarm warning light. I can cycle the power but it does the same thing, so we know there's a sensor protecting the hvac system, just don't know what exactly. Though if I could get a code, I could know what I'm taking it into the shop for... hate going into a mechanic without the slightest idea - that's a very dangerous proposition, every time. -

The old style units would say AC when that was what had failed, the newer ones just the orange idiot light.
